Make Sure Your Vote Counts!
Here’s how to register to vote in Ireland in simple steps:
1. Check if You’re Eligible
You must be 18 or older and ordinarily live in Ireland.

2. Choose Registration Method
Online: Visit Check the Register with your PPSN, date of birth, and Eircode.
Paper Form: Download and fill out the RFA1 Application Form from the same site. If you don’t have a PPSN, have your form witnessed at a local Garda station.
3. Submit the Form
If you’re using a paper form, send it to your local authority.
4. Update Your Details If Necessary
If you move or need to update information, use Check the Register at least 15 days before an election.

To ensure you do not miss the deadline it is advisable to submit your application as soon as possible in case your local authority requires any further information from you.
